Strong Little Man

Walker is getting really good at laying on Daddy's stomach and pushing up. He is getting so strong and changing everyday. He tries so hard to raise up and look at you. He is soooo much fun!!

Watching Baseball with Dad

Looks like Walker has fallen in love with watching baseball just like his dad. Dad is hoping he will love the game when its time for him to actually play. He seems to think by watching a game every night it will begin to wear off on Walker....we will see!

Helping Mom

Walker has been such a huge help this week! He helped his mommy plant flowers outside. He loves to be outdoors whether we are going for a walk in the neighborhood or just taking a walk around the yard. Big sister Ribbie always takes Walker up on going "outside". We are looking forward to cooler days when he can enjoy it a little more often. Hopefully, he will have a love for yard work and planting just like his mommy and daddy!

Mason Hall & Walker

Walker had a very special visitor today. Diana and Mason came to visit us this morning. They are taking a mini vacation before Diana goes back to school. Mason is almost 6 months old and he was so much fun. He takes after his mommy with a perfect beach tan. I can't wait for Walker to be as active as Mason. I'm really looking forward to the boys being able to play together in a few years. Diana and I have been friends since elementary school. I never thought we would have our boys grow up together. I hope Walker can be as good of friend to Mason as Diana has been to me. Thank you for coming to see us!! Can't wait to see you guys again.

Smiling

Every time I look at this picture it makes my heart melt. Over the last week Walker has really started to show his personality. Watching him smile is so rewarding. Patrick and I have so much fun playing with him and seeing his "Big" smile. Everyone says he looks so much like Patrick, but I might say he has his mommies smile!

I love my Crabs:)

We had such a great weekend! Walker had four very special visitors come and spend the weekend with him. Brian and Megan came from Charlotte and Michael and Ann came from Charleston to see the little guy. What better way to spend the weekend with a cookout on Friday night and golf for the boys on Saturday morning. Walker suited up in his "crabbie" outfit to meet the boys for lunch on the marsh. Maybe in a few years Walker will be able to join them on the course. Thank you guys for coming to visit us!! We are soooo lucky to have such special friends!!

Walker's Big Sister Ribbie

As most of you know we have the best dog in the entire world. Ribbie has been the best "Big Sister" to Walker. She comes over to check him out and then goes on her way to spend her day chewing on her bones. I think she is finally beginning to realize that he is not going away. It has definitely been hard balancing both our children, but we wouldn't change a thing!! Ribbie will always be our first born:)

He's a Baller!

Thanks to his Uncle Coleman, Walker is a proud owner of his first Lousiville Slugger bat. He is ready to get into the box and take some swings. Also thanks to Dr. Bale and Kristen Bale he is ready to suit up for the Red Sox! I think he will look good playing 2nd base at Fenway Park.

Future Hilltopper

We had such a great time trying on all of Walkers WKU gear brought to him by his Pops and Jules. He really enjoyed cuddling with Big Red. Walker also got an official letter for the class of 2030 by his Pops. He already looks so good in red! Hopefully one day he will carry on the traditon and become a Western Kentucky Hilltopper like his Pops, Jules, Dad, Mom and Uncle Matthew.

1 Month Old

Its hard to believe Walker is 1 month old. He is changing everyday. He is beginning to smile at us. This week has been so rewarding for me. Patrick was finally able to work on his fathers day present from Walker. It was definitely a lot harder than we thought to get Walkers footprint and handprint in the clay, but it turned out perfect. Mama P and Grandmother visited us this weekend.

Walkers 3rd Week at Home

Walker is changing so much already. His Jules and Pops were here to visit. Jules stayed for two weeks thank goodness and Pops came for a few days. Patrick and I enjoyed watching Pops and Walker together. Pops would not take his hands off of him. Although Pops and I agreed on which way to part Walkers hair. Patrick still disagrees. He can only have beach hair in Destin:) Walker loves to play on his Baby Enstein down under ocean adventure. He loves to listen to the music and watch the lights. Thank you to his Aunt Megan. We also went on our first walk around the neighborhood. Walker loves to ride in his stroller. I just can't wait to be able to use "Bob". Pops also introduced Walker to tummy time on his surfboard. I think Pops enjoyed tummy time more than Walker.

Walkers 2nd Week at Home

During Walkers 2nd week at home he had to wear a Bilirubin Blanket 24 hours a day due to him being Jaundice. We called him our little "Glow Worm". You can actually see a little bit of the blue light on his cheek. It was very hard for all of us because he was confined to his crib and rocking chair. The only time he did not wear the blanket was during bath time. Thank you for all of your prayers through this time. Patrick and I really learned a lot and I don't know what I would have done without his support. Patrick was an unbelievable husband and daddy!!

Walkers 1st Week at Home

We had a very busy 1st week at home. Lots of friends and family came to visit us. Thanks to Mama P for all of her help. We wouldn't have made it without you!! Patrick became an expert at "Swaddling" Walker. Also, thank you to Uncle Doug and Aunt Patsy for visiting me!

Master Walker Leigh

To have such a super easy pregnancy I really should have known how much trouble Master Walker Leigh would be coming into this world. Finally after 17 hours of labor & an emergency C-section Walker joined us at 11:09pm Tuesday, June 12, 2008.
Yes, he did make it before Friday the 13th:)
He weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces and 21 inches long. Now, we all know why I gained 60 pounds:)
