4 Month Check-Up

We had a very successful 4 month check-up on Wednesday. Good news, Walker only got two shots in the thigh. They have started to combine the shots into two instead of four individual shots. He cried a little, but nothing like his 2 month check-up.
Patrick and I were very anxious to find out his weight:)

Drum roll please..............................

Walker you weigh a whopping 18 pds 13 oz and you are 26 1/2 inches tall. Our pediatrician came in laughing. She said he is 100 % plus for weight and 95% for height. She always comes in the room and holds him until we leave.....this time she had to rest him on her knee. As most of you know...Walker doesn't miss a feeding:) She wants him on veggies by his 6 month check-up. We are planning to start him on rice cereal the middle of November. I can't wait to try it, but a little sad....starting rice cereal means he's a BIG boy.....he is growing up so fast!!

There is always a chance of having a reaction to the shots. Walker breezed right through his 2 month shots without a problem. This time around he started to run a fever on Thursday afternoon. I had to pick him up early from school on Friday, his temperature was 101.3. Patrick and I checked it every few hours and the highest was 101.8. We were both very concerned, but luckily he has not had a fever since last night. I thought I was a worry wart before I had Walker, but now my worries have quadrupled.

The last few days Walker has been working very hard trying to roll over. So far he has been unsuccessful. It is so fun to watch him try over and over. Whats so funny about this shot is just imagine him falling asleep in this position.....yes, he actually fell asleep just like this last night. Everyone says that it will take him a little longer to roll over because of his extra "rolls"....but Walker I say prove them all wrong!!

That's funny! I didn't even notice. Walker is a doll! He's a little chunky monkey!! ::) Cason is just now getting where he'll actually play w/ Jake. Up until this point they just kind of co-existed! :)
