Merry Christmas 2010!!
Merry Christmas, y'all! We had the best time celebrating Christmas with Patrick's family in Kentucky. We left Tuesday before Christmas at 6am and boy we were dreading the ten hour drive with a 2yr old. Walker was absolutely the best in the car. We finally made it just in time to visit a little with Pops, Jules, Uncle Matt Matt, Aunt Sandra, Topper (Bad Dog), Spirit (Ribbie's sister), Tsavo and Ribbie before dinner. Having four dogs in the same house is rather amusing. We were all so excited to be out of the car and finally able to run around. Walker was sooooo excited to see everyone and especially the dogs.
Jules decided that each couple would be responsible for making dinner one night. Matthew and Sandra made delicious shrimp jambalaya, Patrick and I made spicy chicken pasta (Pioneer Woman) and Jules and Pops made homemade chili and Christmas lunch. We all snacked on left overs the rest of the week. It was such a great idea, because everyone was in the kitchen talking, laughing, drinking and just enjoying each other. I especially enjoyed Sandra teaching me new "cutting" tricks with the veggies:) Hopefully, I can cut an onion the new fancy way and not chop off a finger.
On Wednesday we hung out, prepared for dinner and the WKU vs UofL basketball game. Before the game Patrick's grandmother Beck, Uncle Harry, Aunt Elaine, Patrick's cousins, their friends and our friends from CCU came to the house for some yummy chili (made by Pops) before heading over to Diddle Arena. Unfortunately WKU lost, but it was so good seeing friends. We are not able to get back to many WKU sporting events, so its super fun when we have a chance. I was so mad at myself for forgetting the camera. I will brag a little about Walker during the game....he was so good and enjoyed watching Big Red and listening to the band. People commented on how good he was during the game. He is so used to the college football/basketball game atmosphere. I run a tight ship here people, because it's usually just me and Walker while Daddy is working on the field/court.
Uncle Harry and Aunt Elaine are so good to us. They brought Walker a laptop and a super cool remote control cement truck that he LOVES!! We were so glad to see them!!
On Friday night we went to a Christmas Eve party at The Ridley's house. Their house is absolutely gorgeous and they are such fun people. He was so good except for twice. Walker decided to pull his pants/underwear down in the middle of the living room floor. I thought for sure he was getting ready to pee pee on their rug. And then I looked over and he was carrying a vase to the piano. I almost had a heart attack...it's amazing how quickly they can pick things up.
We waited all day for the Christmas Eve snow and it didn't let us down:) It was so fun watching the snow fall. We decided to have s'mores in the outdoor fireplace while it was snowing. Walker had a blast and wanted to do it all by himself. Lets just say his marshmallows were black and extra crispy. It was such a special night making memories we will cherish forever.
Look at all of the handsome Ransdell boys melting marshmallows:)
Walker left Santa a cookie and milk, he left the reindeer carrots and we can't forget string cheese for Santa Mouse.
After dinner on Christmas Eve we toasted with a dessert liquor, but Pops left poor little Walker boy out. So we made him some "Milk Liquor". He thought he was so special.
Finally the big day arrived. Santa was so good to all of us. We had an amazing day filled with lots of love and laughter. I feel so lucky to be apart of such a wonderful family.

Checking out all the presents Santa brought him and then he found his stocking full of goodies.
He was such a good present delivery boy except he thought they were all for him:)

Thanks to Uncle Matt Matt and Aunt Sandra now Walker is able to work on a construction site and play in a band:) He loves his cymbals and tambourine.
And check out this super cool car Pops and Jules got Walker. He's officially ready to get his driver's license:)
A group picture of everyone who joined us for Christmas dinner. And yes, Walker thought hanging upside down in the picture with Uncle Matt Matt was great.
After opening all of the presents and eating homemade cinnamon rolls made by Pops we all dressed in our warmest clothes and went outside to play in the snow. It was so cold and windy. We have definitely gotten used to the warmer temps and it was even worse for Matthew and Sandra. They live in Tampa where it's always warm.

I could eat this sweet face up!!!!

The beach bums who were very ready to get back inside to get warm:)

Uncle Matt Matt showing Walker a little about baseball:) I thought the last picture looks like he just hit a grand slam and is watching the ball go over the wall.
