Surgery & Fun at the Playground

Gosh, I love this sweet face so much!

We had a tough week here at the Ransdell's. Walker had tubes put in his ears when he was seven months old and those have since fallen out. He's had about 4 ear infections since the tubes fell out. We made the decision on Tuesday for him to have surgery to have tubes placed back in his ears and have his adenoids removed. So, last Wednesday was the big day and Walker did fantastic. Our ENT was wonderful and said he had an excessive amount of fluid in his right ear and his adenoids were extremely enlarged and most likely causing some of his problems. It helped a little knowing what to expect, especially when we saw him in the recovery room. Coming out of the anesthesia is rather an experience and Walker acted the same way both times...CRAZY! It was pretty funny when we first arrived at the surgical center. They gave Walker some relaxing medicine that made him very loopy. Patrick and I actually asked if we could take some home with us:) Poor little guy couldn't even walk he was so loopy.

Everyday after school we go to the neighborhood playground for an hour before its time for dinner. Walker loves it so much and most times its difficult to convince him its time to go back home. Almost everyday our friends Mrs. Jenn and Miss Keeley join us for some fun.

It's such a special treat when Daddy joins us for some fun:)

Walker loves to swing.
He usually says, "Mommy, push me higher, I'm a big boy".

And yes for some reason he has his shoes off at the playground.

Walker and Conner had a blast throwing the ball to Ribbie and watching her swim to get it. I think both of the boys would have liked to go swimming with her:)

I wonder what was so funny??
Walker absolutely adores Conner. He wants to do everything Conner does. We are so lucky to have such great friends who live in our neighborhood.

Ribbie enjoying her day of swimming!
