Our Trip to KY

At the end of July, Walker and I visited one of our favorite places KY! We had to leave poor Daddy back in NC to work and let me tell you he was one unhappy camper. Walker and I flew to visit Pops, Jules, Beck and to help host a bridal bunch for a dear college friend. We were gone almost a week and boy did we have lots of fun:) It is always such a special visit and we try to make the best of it, because it is so far away.

On Wednesday, Beck (Walker's great-grandmother) came down to spend the night with us. Beck, you are so special to us and we love you so much. Thank you for driving to come see us:):) It's your turn to spend Thanksgiving with us in NC! Beck brought Walker his first "Biscuit Book" and he loves it. Biscuit has made his way into our nightly book rotation.

I didn't take any pictures, but when we landed in Nashville we drove to Murfreesboro to see one of my college roommates. Rachel has a 2 year old handsome little boy and she just had twin boys in May. They are the cutest little things and let me tell you Rachel is SUPERWOMAN!! Rachel, I am so glad we got to see you, John Ingle and to meet little Noah and Grant.

Saying bye to Beck on Thursday morning:(

What's a trip to WKU without visiting Diddle Arena. We stopped in to see the basketball campers and Walker scored his very first WKU practice basketball jersey and a WKU basketball thanks to the DBO, Coach Theo!

We also stopped in to see Mrs. Pam and Mrs. Dixie.
Walker was showing Mrs. Pam how to dribble.
Mrs. Pam also gave Walker these really cool Mickey Mouse flashcards.

What are these Pops.....

walking sticks.....

No, Walker not something to hit people with!

We are still trying to spark his interest in learning how to peddle.
Not happening....

Jules and Pops have a fabulous pool in their neighborhood.
We literally spent ALL of our time there and it was a BLAST. We went in the mornings for about 2hrs then lunch and back to the pool in the afternoon. Lets just say with no nap and visiting the pool twice a day it was very easy to fall asleep.

Pops documenting Walker's height.
He has grown so much since December 2010.
We forgot to measure him when we were there in April.
We will try to make a better effort to not forget next time we visit.

On Saturday we hosted a bridal brunch on the lawn for one of my dearest friends. Emily and I have been friends since we were Sophomore's at WKU. Six of us hosted a shower for her and it was so much fun and so great to see friends!!

I almost forgot on our way back to the airport we stopped in Nashville to see The Hauser's. They are actually some of our friends in MB who just had a sweet beautiful baby girl. It was so great to see them and to meet beautiful Presley. I can't wait to visit them in MB soon.

Thanks to Pops and Jules for making our visit one to remember!
We love you both so much and can't wait for you to visit us in September!

As always, you made really good photos. You and Walker have had a wonderful time together since you have stopped working- a really great summer with lots of memories. I am glad that it was so. The girls are all so gorgeous, some I knew-so you'll have to help with the others. Have thought of Walker all morning-going to the new school-tell me about the book, HELP, too. See you soon and love you bunches.
