Walkers First Adventure to the Beach

Walker had his first experience going to the beach today. We had such a good time. After Labor Day Ribbie can be on the beach any time. This is the first Saturday since football season started and since the weather cooled off a little that we found a time to go. Walker enjoyed seeing the water, seagulls, boats, horses and especially watching Ribbie run around.

Walker loved it so in the Bob that he fell asleep. He is going to be just like his daddy. Love the water and love to take naps on the beach. We hope to go a few more times before the weather changes. We are looking forward to next year when he can really enjoy the water and run around!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!

Today was such a fun day for us as a family. We celebrated Patrick's 29th birthday. Walker bought Daddy a new 3-Wood, so this will give him an excuse to play golf 5 times a week instead of 4 times a week:) Soon Walker will be joining Daddy on the course using his colorful Snoopy golf clubs:) We had a wonderful dinner together and a mint chocolate blizzard cake for dessert. We love you Daddy!!

Big Boy

Walker took his first ride in Bob over the weekend. He is loving his new "ride". Since he can hold his head up now he doesn't have to use the car seat/stroller. He is finally able to see somebody else besides Mommy's face:) He must be thrilled! He is able to look out and see the world. The Bob does make him look so tiny, but not for long. During our walk today he chatted most of the way. He is really into telling us all about his day. Now that he is cooing his little personality is really showing. He is sooooo happy! Walker wanted to especially thank his Uncle Doug and Aunt Patsy for his Bob. We are really enjoying it!

Walker's first Coastal Carolina Football Game

My has Walker had a very busy weekend. Let me tell you, Patrick and I are so proud of him. He was such a trooper this weekend. He totally went with the flow and loved being passed around to eveyone. On Saturday, Walker attended his very first tailgate party and CCU football game. We had so much fun with him. He was passed around the suite and was a huge hit with all the ladies. He even took a nap during the fireworks show at halftime:) He is learning to flirt and is so curious when we are around a larger group. I thought he was getting hungry after his nap so I tried to give him a bottle. He was definitely more interested in looking around, talking and smiling than eating. Since when does he ever turn down a chance to eat!! This game will be one of very many Walker will attend. He will have his choice of weekend sporting events his entire life. We did not get a picture with Daddy, because he was busy socializing...maybe next game!
This is my friend Amy and her son Eli. Amy is expecting a little girl in January. Walker is looking forward to meeting his new girlfriend! Amy and I moved here last year at the same time. Her husband is one of our men's assistant basketball coaches. Amy has truly been a great friend and helped me through my pregnancy and now with baby advice with Walker. I don't know what I would do without her. She keeps me from freaking out on most things:) Eli is such a cutie. He is so good with Walker. He was showing Walker that when he gets bigger he can eat 15 cookies & brownies like him during tailgating. I can't wait for the boys to be able to run around together.

HAPPY 3 MONTHS OLD WALKER LEIGH

Happy 3 months old Walker Leigh Ransdell! Boy have you changed so quickly and growing so fast. Your little personality has taken off! I have now figured out how to make you giggle. It is the sweetest sound, it actually brought tears in my eyes. The first time he giggled I got so excited and laughed so loud I scared him. I have noticed Walker prefers to stand stiff legged rather than sit most of the time. Mama P bought him a jumperoo today and he loves it. His toes are almost touching the floor, but not yet. He is going to take off when those feet finally touch the floor. He started grabbing for his froggy and ducky attached to his car seat last week. Almost every time we are in the car his little hands go to town playing with them. Patrick and I have noticed that most of his movement is coming from his left hand. Only time will tell if he will be a left handed pitcher. Patrick says he will be the happiest dad on the planet if Waker is left handed. He has started to recogonize me when I pick him up from school. Most everyday when he hears my voice he gets the biggest smile on his face. Mama P was amazed tonight that we can put Walker down for bed time and he falls right to sleep. All he needs is his humidifier and his sound machine and he is sound asleep. One last thing that I hope he grows out of SOON and I call it "Walkers Rut". Walker absolutely hates the car seat. He never fails to cry or to voice his opinion on my driving. I haven't figured out if he truly hates the car seat or if he is just hot. I guess we will wait and see once it gets a little cooler.

Walkers First Trip to Kentucky

Boy have we had a BIG last few days. Where do I even begin to start......................

We left a week ago tonight for Walkers very first hotel stay before leaving to visit Jules, Pops, Moke, Beck, Uncle Harry, Aunt Elaine, our WKU family and all of our college friends. Walker did so well at the hotel. We were lucky he didn't wake up the entire floor:) On Thursday, Walker took his very first plane ride. It's amazing how many people stare at you wondering if "THAT BABY" is going to be on their flight. I was worried about his ears popping, but has most of you know he loves to eat, so thats what we did the entire flight:) and it worked.

From the airport Jules picked us up and we went to visit all of our WKU friends on campus. Everyone was so excited to meet Walker. After meeting everyone and Walker spitting up on most everyone's nice work clothes it was time to go!! We then drove to Louisville, Kentucky to finally meet Walkers Great Grandpa and Great Grandma....Moke and Beck! It was so great to watch Walker with Moke and Beck. Moke told him all there was to know about life and Beck enjoyed playing with him on the floor.

Thank you to Aunt Elaine and Uncle Harry for coming over to see me and taking good care of me while mommy and daddy were at the wedding. I had so much fun with you and can't wait to see you again soon. Aunt Elaine fed me and got me dressed in my cute outfit to meet all of mommy and daddys college friends!!

On Saturday night we all attended Jerry and Katie's wedding. Jerry and Katie are two very special people in our lives and we were so excited for Walker to meet them. Walker also met Baby Ty Fox. Ty is only a few days older than Walker, but Walker is by far twice his size:) Walker and Ty talked for a while at the reception and they both have decided to meet at WKU in 2030 and play baseball just like their daddy's. Walker at second base and Ty in the outfield. We were so glad all of our very special college friends finally got to meet Walker!!! Jules and Pops took Walker back to Moke and Becks, so Mommy and Daddy could have a little "party time" with their friends. Here are a few pictures from Jerry and Katies reception. Walker did not make it into any of the pictures because he was literally being carried around the entire reception meeting everyone. He was a huge hit!!

On Sunday night Jules and Pops invited friends over for dinner out on the patio. It was so nice to see everyone. Thank you to all for coming over and sharing such a special time with us. Walker got to meet two very special people in my life. Two very special friends who have made me the mom I am today. Thank you to Aunt Emily and Aunt Suzanne for coming over to meet me!!

Walker's Baptism

Last weekend was such a special time for us. We had both sets of grandparents here and Patsy and Brent for Walkers baptism. He did so well and totally loved it when our pastor walked him around the church for the congregation to see him. For those of you who know Walker....we were so afraid he would spit up all over the pastor, but luckily the pastor was wearing a white robe and Walker was able to keep everything in:) We had such a wonderful day and lunch after church was awesome. We were lucky enough to have lunch with our adopted family. Thank you to everyone for making Walkers day so special!! We love you all!!

Chunky Monkey

Sorry everyone for the long delay, but things have been so hectic since I started back to work on August 18 and Walker starting school.........

So many fun and exciting things have happened over the last week in a half. Walker is growing like a weed. He has learned how to rub his eyes with his hands when he is sleepy, he has started to blow bubbles and drool and of course continues to coo and smile. He has adjusted really well to his new environment at school. The ladies totally love him to death. Its like he has three extra grandmas. I think he is the favorite by far:) Mrs. Dot & Mrs. Mira have been absolutely a blessing to us. I can already tell he is going to love them more than me:)
After wearing this outfit in the picture we thought of a perfect nickname for Walker....."Chunky Monkey"!!

Walkers First Football Scrimmage

Walker attended his very first Coastal Carolina Football Scrimmage on Saturday. It was very loud due to coach wanting the team ready for Penn State. Walker could have cared less and napped almost the entire time. Everyone was soooo impressed on how good he was being. Walker is ready to enjoy a little college football with his Daddy. GO CHANTICLEERS!!

2 Month Check Up

Today Walker had his 2 month check up. Yes, we all made it out alive, including Mommy:) Thank goodness Daddy came with us, because I'm not sure I would have been strong enough to handle all four shots....yes four shots!!
Today Walker weighed in at.....drum roll please.....13 pounds 12 ounces and 23 1/2 inches long. He is such a big boy!! Daddy thinks since Walker is in the 75% for height, he is going to be over six feet tall...I don't think so:)
Walker starts school on Monday and Mommy goes back to work. Everyone please pray for the both of us. I am really dreading going back to work. The past 2 months have been unbelievably rewarding. We are truly so lucky to have such a good little boy!! Grandma Jules and I stopped by Walker's school today to drop off a few things to make it easier on me Monday morning. I will keep everyone updated on how his first week of school goes.

HAPPY 2 MONTHS OLD WALKER LEIGH

Happy 2 months old Walker. It is so hard to believe he is already 2 months old. Time really flies by when you're having a good time. Its amazing all of the things he can do now from smiling, cooing and kicking his arms and legs just as fast as he can. I never knew how much LOVE I would have for such a little guy. We love you Walker Leigh!!

Uncle Matthew and Walker were finally able to meet each other today! He is doing such a great job with Walker. He even was able by the end of the night to move Walker from side to side and from front to back perfectly:) We are so excited Uncle Matthew is here for a few days. Thanks for coming to visit us...we love you!

I think Jules is in HEAVEN with her boys!!

Kicking

Walker is changing and doing new things everyday. He showed Dad how much he loves to lay on his back and kick his arms and legs. He kicks so hard that his socks fall off. It is so much fun to watch him go...before long he will be rolling over.

Thank you Mama P!!

While dad was gone to Vegas this past weekend Mama P came to visit us. We had so much fun for five whole days. There is nothing like having Mamp P here to spoil both myself and Walker:) We definitely found one thing out about Mr. Walker...he DOES NOT LIKE TO GO SHOPPING!! I think before Patrick left for Vegas he discussed with Walker how to act when Mommy and Mama P take you to the mall...SCREAM and then once we get back into the car start SMILING and LAUGHING:) Thank you Mama P for all of your support and love. We can't wait to see you again in two weeks. WE LOVE YOU!!

I am having so much fun reading to Walker. He loves to read his Dr. Suess books. His favorite book so far is Yertle the Turtle. I can't wait for him to pick out a bed time story to read each night before he goes to bed!!

First trip to visit Pop & Mama P's house!!

Walker took his first trip to Pops and Mama P's last weekend. Hoping to boost Pops recovery from his accident we made a surprise weekend trip to see him. I'm not too sure if he even cared we were there as long as he got to see Walker. We are so glad Pop is feeling a little better. We love you Pop!!

Finally, Walker got to meet his cousin Logan. Boy, is Walker going to learn lots from his cousin Logan. My brother and Amanda have done such an awesome job with Logan. He is so handsome and so smart. He turned one in May and let me tell you he can say anything. He loves tractors, Moo Moos and his cat which he calls "Katten". He is absolutely hilarious and I can't wait for the boys to play together. We love you Ben, Mandy and Logan!

Walker also got to meet his Great Uncle Jerry and his Great Aunt Sandra while we were there. Uncle Jerry was so afraid he was going to hurt Walker, so he quickly handed him over to Aunt Sandra. I think its truly impossible to hurt the little guy:) We can't wait to see you guys again.
