First Dentist Appointment

Yesterday, Walker went to his very first dentist appointment. Let me tell you dentist offices have really changed since I was little. My dentist office growing up looked nothing like this office. The waiting room is so cool with a huge fish aquarium, giant stuffed animals every where and lots of toys. Walker was very excited to go see the dentist. We have been talking about it for about a week. He said, "I go to the dentist to make my teeth feel better":). When we were in the waiting room he probably asked me ten times, "Where's the dentist, Mommy". I could tell he was a little nervous and not quite sure what we were doing.

Can you see the look of terror in his eyes? He actually did really well, but did not want the hygienist to clean his teeth. She said it was very normal for him to be scared. She said it was better for him to just get use to the office before forcing him. I thought it was cool that all the TVs are on the ceiling for the kids to focus on while having their teeth cleaned.

The staff there are so patient and sweet.

I guess that's why its a pediatric dentist office.

Walker got an EXCELLENT report from the dentist!!

The dentist was absolutely fabulous.

He was showing Walker how to make the chair go up and down after his exam.

He talked to us about eating habits, brushing, flossing etc.

Walker let him count all of his teeth.

His teeth are in perfect condition with no cavities!! He said we were doing all the right things...Yea for us!!

After the visit Walker got to pick out a toy from the treasure box!

He thought that was so cool!

Let's hope in January he lets them brush his teeth!
